HS2 SolutionsAs many of you know, I joined HS2 Solutions in the fall of 2008. At the time, I was very happy with my position at Fair Isaac (now FICO) and was really enjoying my work. I did, however, make the tough decision of leaving FICO and joining HS2 Solutions to open up more career opportunities and improve my quality of life. I must say this was one of the most difficult, but best decisions that I have made in my career. I have found my experience at HS2 to be extremely fulfilling by providing me with the opportunity to solve countless complex challenges facing our clients via teams of very talented professionals that I have worked with over ten years.

Well, even though economic times are tough, we are fortunate enough to be doing well as a company and are looking for some very talented individuals to join our team. Web Developer – Full-time
Currently, HS2 is looking for additional full-time web developers to work with HS2 team members and key clients.  Qualified candidates must:
  • Understand technical and functional design requirements.
  • Create prototypes for client engagements.
  • Design, code, and test technical solutions.
  • Identify system deficiencies and recommend solutions.
  • Adhere to development deadlines and schedules.
  • Understand the necessity of and contribute to coding standards.
  • Prioritizes multiple tasks effectively.
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate work experience with at least one relational database management system.
  • Create effective stylesheets.
  • Understand client server and internet systems architectures.
  • Assume additional responsibility without being asked.
  • Anticipate client needs before they arise and present solutions.
  • Understand client expectations and recognize when issues and events may affect delivery.
  • Seek opportunities to broaden and deepen knowledge-base and proficiencies.
  • Share acquired skills with team members through formal and informal channels.
  • Hold a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Web Development, or related field from an accredited college.

Project Manager – Full-time, 3 to 6 month contract
HS2 is looking for a dedicated and talented Project Manager to contribute to a premier account. A good candidate can thrive in a fast-paced environment, has strong communication skills, and can deal effectively with the client and development team to keep the project on schedule. Qualified candidates must:
  • Understand web design and software development.
  • Possess strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Effectively interact with client and run client project.
  • Keep the project on-time/on-task.
  • Interact with various client stakeholders, including business and content owners.
  • Plan and schedule project goals, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Provide status reporting and follow-up.
  • Define requirements and plan project lifecycle deployment.
  • Define resources and schedules for project and program implementation.
  • Direct and manage development team.
  • Identify and solve project issues.
  • Have experience executing interactive marketing programs (e.g., email, mobile, social media).
  • Hold a Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited college.
  • Possess a minimum of 5 years project management experience.
Program Manager – Full-time
HS2 is looking to round-out our program management team with an additional full-time Program Manager.  An HS2 Program Manager is the primary liaison between the client and the development team. Successful candidates will acquire an in-depth knowledge of client needs and requirements; possess effective communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; meet tight deadlines; and build to extend client relationships. Qualified candidates must:
  • Run complex projects/programs from design and development to production.
  • Develop, maintain, and extend client relationships.
  • Work with each client to establish target goals and objectives.
  • Work with all stakeholders to define and execute program.
  • Develop in-depth project plans, including scheduling, goals, milestones, deliverables, costs, resources, and marketing strategies.
  • Create strategies for contingency planning and risk mitigation.
  • Define requirements and plan project lifecycle deployment.
  • Design and maintain technical and project documentation.
  • Direct and manage development team.
  • Identify and solve project issues and strive for process improvements.
  • Determine that projects are carried out on time and under budget.
  • Demonstrate leadership and perform team assessment and evaluations.
  • Scope new client work or extend client business; develop RFPs for additional services.
  • Possess strong organizational, presentation, and customer-service skills.
  • Provide in-depth and regular status reporting, presentations.
  • Possess an in-depth understanding of software development processes.
  • Have interactive/agency background as an additional plus or experience executing interactive marketing programs (e.g., email, mobile, social media).
  • Hold a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering, Technology or related field from an accredited college.
  • Possess a minimum of 7 years of project management experience.
PHP Developer – Full-time, contract, or contract-to-hire
An HS2 PHP developer is responsible for the layout, design, updating, and coding of our client websites. Qualified candidates must:
  • Develop code from scratch or adapt existing websites to meet business requirements.
  • Upload the website onto a server and register it with a variety of search engines.
  • Test and identify technical problems; provide solutions.
  • Determine site functionality and develop content based on approved layout.
  • Provide color, layout, and style guidance.
  • Demonstrate work experience with at least one relational database management system.
  • Create effective stylesheets.
  • Understand client server and internet systems architectures.
  • Prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Understand client expectations and recognize when issues/events may affect delivery.
  • Have knowledge of web standards and protocols.
  • Hold a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Web Development, or related field from an accredited college.

Account Manager – Full-time
Account Managers are responsible for targeting prospective new clients and working with existing clients to develop or extend online marketing efforts. A good Account Manager is able to manage creative and development teams and act as relationship manager for client communications. Qualified candidates must:
  • Develop, maintain, and extend client relationships.
  • Develop deep understanding of client business in order to customize Internet marketing strategy plan.
  • Work with each client to establish target goals and objectives.
  • Develop and execute on strategic recommendations that drive client revenue.
  • Analyze client performance and provide reports.
  • Research competition, competitive issues, products, and industry trends.
  • Travel to trade shows and client visits as needed.
  • Execute Internet marketing campaigns for each client.
  • Find and develop client leads and relationships.
  • Manage numerous clients through daily email/AIM/phone interactions.
  • Interpret marketing data; monitor and analyze client performance to ensure targets are being met.
  • Possess knowledge of information architecture, graphic design, and HTML/CSS.
  • Scope out and conceive new websites, including content planning, costs, and site mapping.
  • Create and implement project timelines.
  • Have interactive/agency background as an additional plus.
  • Hold a Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited college
