Well, we have moved into our new condo and all seems to be going well. There are a number of things that still remain to be done, but after seeing some other people’s places in our building, we are way ahead of everyone else.

Does anyone know of a good, late-night (at least 11:00PM) coffee house? I used to live in Rogers Park and Cafe Ennui was a great place to read/study/etc. on summer nights. Drop me an email or leave a comment with any suggestions. Thanks.

Okay, the following are the two most important sites on the internet.

1. FactCheck.org – FactCheck.org is a non-profit and non-partisan web site that aims to reduce the deception present in politics. In an election year, this web site is even more important as both parties will be spewing out a lot of “facts” and most voters will take them at face value. Take time at least once a week to check this site.
2. Snopes.com – Snopes.com is home to the Urban Legends Reference Pages. Everyone has received the emails about Neiman Marcus cookie recipes (fake), Target not supporting veterans (false), and others. If you receive an email like that, PLEASE take time to check out Snopes.com, it contains almost every chain letter ever created, along with an excellent analysis the facts of the story. Take a peek, it is fun and informative.
   

• Erin bought me tickets (on the glass, front row!) to go see the Chicago Wolves last weekend. We had a great time and it was a nice birthday present
• For her birthday, Erin and I went to see a performance of Misery at the Bailiwick Theater. I have mixed emotions about the performance, and was somewhat annoyed by some of the other people seeing the show.
• I am still working for Fair Isaac. Not a whole lot new there.
• Oh yeah, I am finally #1 again for “john telford” on both Google and Yahoo!

Well, I lost the number one spot on google for john telford. Hopefully, once they reindex my site, I will rise to the top. I reconfigured my DNS entries and that caused google to drop me. We will have to see what happens.
